Induction: Potential clients are invited to attend an informal interview.

Sector/Area: Service throughout Cambridgeshire & Peterborough to residents who have mental health issues. Also for people with disabilities in Cambridge and South Cambs.

Funding: Various including Cambridgeshire County Council, Social Services Department and New Deal for Disabled People.

User Involvement: Via employment of people with disabilities and user consultation / evaluation of the project.

Aims & Objectives: To help the individual to identify, value, and develop their skills and talents, matching these to local labour market needs ( by providing Information, Advice and Careers Guidance). And, if relevant, the employer, providing any support required in the workplace. To promote and enable equal employment opportunity for people with mental health problems.

Types of Work/Activity/Volunteering/Education/Training available: RFET offers Careers Guidance, Employment Preparation and Employment Support to people who are unemployed and have mental health problems ( and/or a physical disability in Cambridge & South Cambs). We work with clients on an individual basis to help them to achieve their goals of work, education or training.
